I was born and raised near Detroit, Michigan and owe a lot of my interest in tattooing to Terry “Tramp” Welker, owner of Eternal Tattoos and Matt Jones of Kleen Sting Tattoo. When I was 16, I got my first tattoo. It was then, I decided tattooing was for me. I started tattooing in Grand Junction, CO. Art has always been a passion in my life and now that art is my job. I couldn’t be happier. My main goal in tattooing is to translate the idea of the client into a tattoo piece that will look beautiful on skin and will be an original piece of artwork. I also want to insure that the piece will hold up over time. I love what I do and each piece is important to me. The experience of my client needs to be a very positive one. For someone to choose me to tattoo a permanent piece of art on their body is a big responsibility and an honor and one that I do not take lightly. My work is extremely important because it is a representation of me as an artist and a representation of the ideas and personality of the client. Having a personal connection with clients and making their vision become real makes this process very rewarding and I feel very fortunate to have found tattooing as a career. I look forward to new opportunities to translate peoples’ ideas through the medium of tattooing and expanding myself as a person and an artist.
Originally born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Jess has called Colorado home since 2008. Miss Tanner is a friendly, enthusiastic artist who's been applying her art to skin for the better part of a decade. In her spare time, you can find Jess participating in the Denver Vegan community, knitting, gardening, cooking, galavanting about town on her bicycle and preparing for motherhood. Jess has a passion for life, learning and growing as a person and this comes through in her client relationships and artistic skills. Visit Jess's Tumblr
AJ moved to the beautiful state of Colorado from chilly, Buffalo, New York in 2008 after graduating from SUNY, Fredonia with a B.F.A. in drawing and printmaking. Once in Colorado, AJ began pursuing his passion - the art of tattoos. With over 4 years experience, AJ is constantly learning and growing his tattooing arsenal. In his free time, AJ is on his bike, chasing his cat, playing frisbee or entertaining his friends with dirty jokes. AJ joined the Marion Street Tattoo family in January, 2013.
I moved to Colorado in 2001, from Long Island and have loved it ever since. I have always been into art and fortunately 7 years ago I was able to find a new outlet for it, tattooing brought me back to art. It has also afforded me the opportunity to graduate with a Graphic Design degree, which is my side passion and part time career. I have learned so much and my style grows with each passing year. Marion Street has been a great step for me and I am stoked to work with all the artists here and begin a new chapter in my career. I love custom work, and working with a clients ideas to create an amazing piece that they can enjoy everyday is an awesome feeling. My work ranges from traditional american to japanese. In general though I just love making art, wether it's tattoos, paintings drawings or design.
